Angelique Gates is a Northeast Ohio-based consultant and strategist whose work sits at the intersection of diversity, inclusion, education, and community transformation. With a background in psychology and nearly a decade of cross-sector leadership experience—in finance, retail, nonprofit strategy, and independent consulting—Angelique brings a unique blend of business acumen and social impact expertise to every engagement.
Currently serving as Senior Strategist at Cleveland VOTES, Angelique leads strategic planning, program design, and partnership development efforts to advance civic engagement across Ohio. They have also provided DEI consulting through their practice, Ellolique LLC, offering facilitation, cultural assessments, and organizational development services to nonprofits and small businesses.
Angelique's approach is grounded in their roots as a community organizer. From co-founding Current Cleveland, a creative arts space for emerging artists, to serving as a Community Accountability Partner with Reparations Now Cleveland, they consistently build spaces that are rooted in equity, healing, and collective action.
In addition to consulting, Angelique has served on the boards of Preterm and the People’s Economy Action Collective, where they continue to shape equity-centered policy and practice.
